1. Who do we call at school when we have a query or are requesting information?
To help save time and contact the correct department first time here is a guide:
 
Contact the School Office on 2566 4242 or email office@qbs.edu.hk for all enquiries regarding:

• School Fees etc

2. What is Qoodle?
Qoodle is our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). It is based on the Moodle platform that ESF have implemented for each ESF school's VLE.
This is where our students will login and enhance the way they communicate and collaborate with teachers and peers. 
QBS also hosts all photo galleries and video clips here as this is a secure area. We feel, as a school, that it is not appropriate to have photos and videos of students available to the general public.
 
Usernames for Qoodle use the students WebID i.e. 13smitht2, smitht2 etc..
 
If your child has any problems logging into Qoodle then please confirm you are using the correct login details. Does your child have a login note in the diary? If there is still an issue then please email the class teacher of the student.
 
3. The Gateway (TG) for Parents
This is ESF's online portal for parents. TG is a modular system and as of May 2010 QBS only has the basic system available. As modules are designed and QBS thinks they will benefit parents we will implement in TG.
Currently parents can view their own childs demographic info which includes students personal details, medical info, contacts, attendance reports etc...
 
Usernames for parents use a Family WebID and are based on one per ESF family.

4. QBS Student email accounts
This is part of 'Google Apps' which we have subscribed to which handles the students emails. Students can access their account through Qoodle.
 
All student emails are in the format of [firstname].[lastname]@quarrybaykids.com
 
5. The QBS Calendar on The Gateway
To ensure you have the most up-to-date details on your Gateway calendar please visit the iCalendar page by clicking the iCalendar link on the Gateway homepage after logging in. Once there you can 'Synchronise' your calendar by clicking the small icon next to the QBS calendar tab.
 
All calendar information is also available on the front page of www.qbs.edu.hk
 
6. Where are the Staff contacts?
For general school staff contacts these can be viewed on our Contact Us page.
 
Even though the teaching staff are searchable on The Gateway there are no email contacts. This was an ESF decision not to have them available on the Gateway. QBS have created our own page and it is available on Qoodle.
Why Qoodle? Because having emails on a public website opens up the possibility of these emails being 'harvested' and 'spammed'. So we have them hosted on Qoodle which is password protected (student WebID)
