Profile of Mr Gordon Lamb

Gordon Lamb has been Chair of Quarry Bay School Council since June 2005 and was elected Chair of the Committee of School Council Chairs in June 2008.  He was on the ESF’s Executive Committee and Transitional Board in 2008, and has been a member the ESF Board of Governors as a School Council Chair, elected by the Committee of School Council Chairs, since its inception.  He is currently Chair of the ESF Major Building Projects Committee, member of the School Council Appointments Committee and member of ESF Services Limited.

Gordon was previously a Community Representative on Beacon Hill School Council for 12 years, as well as CLP Holdings’ nominated Foundation representative for 6 years, and was a member of the Foundation’s 2005 Governance Reform Task Force.

He was a member of the Royal Hong Kong Police for 16 years achieving the rank of Chief Inspector, and was employed by CLP Holdings in a variety of roles for 13 years; he has a background in construction safety and health management and corporate security management.  This year he finally rounded off his education, with the award of a Bachelor of Criminal Justice by the University of Hong Kong after four years of part time study.

Gordon was a rugby and hockey player and has been involved in club, association, and representative youth and mini rugby for many years, as an administrator, an official, and until 2008 as a referee.
